Pain points

The problems cafe owners actually call about

Most cafes do not need another steaming-mug logo. They need the cup that walks out the door every morning to carry the cafe’s name.

Our cup is a stock white cup

Hundreds of cups leave the counter every morning and walk into offices, trains, and meetings. Each one is plain white with a stamped lid. The coffee is excellent, but nobody who sees the cup on a desk can tell where it came from.

The drink board slows the line

Customers have about twenty seconds in line to decide. Your chalkboard lists forty drinks in three handwritings, with seasonal specials taped on the side. People default to a drip coffee, the line stalls, and the seasonal drink you built never sells.

The cup, the sleeve, and the bean pouch look like three cafes

The cups came stock, the sleeves from a supplier catalog, and the retail bean labels from the roaster’s template. Regulars love the place but cannot find it again on a grocery shelf or recognize it in a friend’s Instagram story.

Our own beans or a second cafe are pulling the look apart

You started selling beans by origin or opened a second shop. Each bean label was made one at a time and the new location ordered its own cups. Without a system and guidelines, every new label and location drifts.

Fit

This page is for you if…

  • You are opening a cafe or moving from a cart or pop-up into a storefront
  • Customers cannot tell if you are a specialty coffee shop or a quick grab-and-go
  • You have a logo, but the cups, drink board, and bean labels look unrelated
  • You want one system for cups, seasonal drinks, and retail beans
  • You need files your U.S. cup printer and sign shop can actually use

Not a fit

Skip this if you need something else

  • You only need one seasonal drink post this week
  • You want us to print cups, make labels, or letter the window
  • You want ads or SEO before the identity is clear

Clarity

Branding, marketing, or printing?

U.S. cafe owners often mix these three. Hiring the wrong one first wastes the budget.

If you need more morning traffic next month, that is marketing. If customers cannot tell what kind of cafe you are, that is branding.

What we design

Complete cafe brand design

Make the window, the drink board, and the cup feel like one cafe regulars seek out. Design files only — no printed cups or labels.

Brand naming

Cafe name checked on a paper cup, a window, a drive-thru sign, and an Instagram handle — short enough to read on the side of a 12-ounce cup.

Logo

A mark that prints in one or two colors on a paper cup and sleeve, fits a lid sticker, and reads on the window and a drive-thru sign.

Complete brand identity

Color, type, illustration or pattern, and a drink board layout, so the window, the line, and the cup look like one cafe.

Packaging design

Where cafes need it most: hot and cold cups, sleeves, lid and seal stickers, to-go carriers, and retail bean pouch labels. Built to your cup printer’s and label printer’s specs.

Merchandise design

Barista aprons, mugs, tumblers, and tees regulars actually buy. Your embroiderer and merch vendor produce them.

Brand guidelines

Cup and sleeve rules, seasonal drink board guidance, and bean label layouts, so the next seasonal launch, the next origin, and the second cafe stay consistent.

Also designed when needed: drink board and seasonal specials card, window lettering, drive-thru sign, pastry case labels, loyalty card, business card, Instagram templates, website design.

Where it shows up

Customers decide in these four places

Window & door

Where passersby decide to stop for coffee.

Drink board & line

Where they decide what to order in twenty seconds.

Cup & sleeve

The part of the cafe that goes to work with them.

Bean shelf & Instagram

Where they take the cafe home.

Work

Cafe brand work

Add 2–3 real U.S. cafe projects here: the pain, what we designed (cups, drink board, bean labels), and the files delivered. Do not publish placeholder clients.

Why cafes choose us

A cafe brand system, not another steaming-mug logo.

Graphic Designers Group works with U.S. cafe owners who need the window, drink board, cups, and beans to feel like one cafe. We design the complete brand and hand over production-ready files. We do not print cups, make labels, or run ads — so the work stays focused on the identity customers actually see.

Industry expertise

Customers judge a cafe in the line and again every time they carry the cup somewhere else. Most cafe brands break there because the cup came stock and the board grew by hand. We design the cup and the drink board first.

Fast turnaround

Most Basic and Standard packages move on a short timeline after the brief is complete — so the new look is ready before opening day, before your cup printer’s minimum order, or before a seasonal drink launch.

Vendor-ready files

Your cup printer gets one- or two-color cup and sleeve artwork. Your label printer gets lid sticker and bean label files. Your sign shop gets window and drive-thru artwork. Printing and install stay with them.

Works on a paper cup and a lid sticker

The hardest uses are a two-color print on a curved paper cup, a one-inch lid sticker, and a drink board read from the back of the line. We test the mark and type at each.

Clear packages

Basic $299, Standard $499, Enterprise $799. Standard adds cups and sleeves or the drink board; Enterprise adds retail bean labels, merch, and a seasonal board system. Multi-cafe groups are quoted after discovery.

Built to stay consistent

Guidelines cover cups, the drink board, and bean labels, so the next seasonal drink, the next origin, or the second cafe does not invent a new coffee shop by accident.

FAQ

Questions cafe owners ask before they buy

What is included in cafe branding services?

Cafe branding at Graphic Designers Group includes complete brand design: naming direction, logo, visual identity, packaging such as cups, sleeves, and lid stickers, merchandise design, and guidelines. Standard and Enterprise add the drink board, window lettering, retail bean labels, and a seasonal board system as scoped. You receive production-ready files; we do not print or install.

How much does cafe branding cost?

Cafe branding starts at $299 for Basic, $499 for Standard, and $799 for Enterprise. Basic covers naming direction, logo, starter palette, and essential guidelines. Standard adds full identity plus cups, sleeves, and lid stickers or the drink board. Enterprise adds retail bean labels, aprons, mugs, merch, and a seasonal board as scoped.

Do you print cups or make labels?

No. Graphic Designers Group designs the artwork only. Your cup printer produces cups and sleeves, your label printer makes lid stickers and bean labels, and your sign shop letters the window and drive-thru sign. Ask each vendor for its specs and minimum order, and we build the files to fit.

Is naming included for a cafe?

Yes, naming direction is included as scoped. It helps when you open a cafe, move from a cart to a storefront, or launch a bean line under its own name. We check the name on a paper cup, a window, and an Instagram handle. You confirm the name is available before ordering cups.

Can our logo print on paper cups in one color?

Yes, that is one of the first tests. Custom cup printers often print in one or two colors on a curved surface, so fine detail and gradients can blur. We deliver a one-color cup version that stays clear on hot and cold cups, and a lid sticker version for stock cups.

Can you design labels for our retail coffee beans?

Yes. We design a bean pouch label system with fixed brand areas and a flexible section for origin, roast level, tasting notes, and roast date. You supply the coffee details and weight. Each new origin drops into the template, so the shelf reads as one cafe.

Who owns the files?

You receive the design files in your package for your cafe’s use, as stated in the project agreement. That includes the logo, cup and board artwork as scoped, and the guidelines, so any cup printer, label printer, or sign shop you hire later can work from the same files.

Can you design a drink board that speeds up the line?

Yes. We organize the board by how customers order — espresso drinks, drip, tea, seasonal — with clear sizes and prices and a set spot for specials. You choose the drinks and prices. A clean board helps people decide before they reach the counter and makes seasonal drinks easier to sell.
