Hotel branding guests remember after checkout.
Graphic Designers Group provides hotel branding services for U.S. independent boutique hotels, renovated motels and roadside inns, and bed and breakfasts. We design the complete brand — name, logo, visual identity, key cards, in-room collateral, amenity labels, exterior sign, and guidelines — so guests recognize your hotel on the travel listing, at the front desk, and on the key card in their pocket. You receive production-ready design files.
Pain points
The problems hotel owners actually call about
Most independent hotels do not need another crest with a crown. They need guests to remember the name so they book direct next time.
On travel listings, we look like any unbranded motel
Guests scroll a travel site and see your thumbnail photo, a star rating, and a name in plain text. The renovated rooms are great, but nothing about the listing feels like a place with its own character. Guests choose the chain they know.
Key cards, the room directory, and door hangers come from a catalog
The key card shows a stock beach, the do-not-disturb hanger is the supplier’s template, and the room directory is a binder of printed pages. You invested in the rooms, yet every printed piece tells guests the stay is generic.
The rooms look boutique, but the printed pieces look dated
New lighting and furniture, then a Wi-Fi card from years ago, amenity labels from a bulk supplier, and a laminated breakfast hours sign. Guests photograph the room, and those details show up in reviews and social posts.
We left the franchise flag and have no brand of our own
You deflagged or bought a former chain property. The old signs came down under the exit agreement, and now the hotel has a temporary banner and no identity. Every week without a clear brand costs recognition on the road and online.
Fit
This page is for you if…
- You are opening a hotel, renovating one, or leaving a franchise flag
- Guests cannot tell what kind of stay you offer
- You have a logo, but the key cards, room collateral, and signs look unrelated
- You want one system from the road sign to the pillow card
- You need files your U.S. suppliers and sign shop can actually use
Not a fit
Skip this if you need something else
- You only need one seasonal offer post this week
- You want us to produce key cards, supply amenities, or build signs
- You want ads or SEO before the identity is clear
Clarity
Branding, marketing, or printing?
U.S. hotel owners often mix these three. Hiring the wrong one first wastes the budget.
| If this is the problem | What you need |
|---|---|
| Guests cannot tell what kind of stay you offer | Brand design |
| Identity is clear; you need more direct bookings this season | Marketing |
| Artwork is approved; you need key cards produced, amenities labeled, or the sign built | Key card supplier / amenity supplier / sign shop |
If you need more direct bookings next season, that is marketing. If guests cannot tell what kind of hotel you are, that is branding.
What we design
Complete hotel brand design
Make the road sign, the front desk, and the room feel like one hotel guests come back to. Design files only — no produced key cards or supplied amenities.
Brand naming
Hotel name checked on a road sign, a key card, a travel listing, and a booking confirmation email — distinct from the chain it may have replaced.
Logo
A mark that reads on a pylon or road sign at night, prints on a key card and a small amenity label, and holds up as a listing profile image.
Complete brand identity
Color, type, and a pattern or illustration for in-room collateral, so the lobby, the room directory, the key card, and the website feel like one hotel.
Packaging design
Where hotels have it: key card sleeves, amenity labels, soap wrappers, pillow cards, and welcome amenity boxes. Built to your suppliers’ specs.
Merchandise design
Robes, slippers, tote, and staff uniforms guests notice. Your amenity supplier and uniform vendor produce them.
Brand guidelines
Room collateral templates, signage rules, and amenity specs, so the next renovation phase, the next reorder, and the next property stay consistent.
Also designed when needed: exterior and road sign, lobby graphics, room directory, do-not-disturb hanger, Wi-Fi and welcome cards, key card design, stationery, staff name badges, website design.
Where it shows up
Guests decide in these four places
Travel listing & road sign
Where they pick your hotel over the chain.
Front desk & key card
Where the stay starts to feel like yours.
Room collateral & amenities
What they photograph and review.
Confirmation email & website
Where they book direct next time.

Work
Hotel brand work
Add 2–3 real U.S. hotel projects here: the pain, what we designed (sign, key card, room collateral), and the files delivered. Do not publish placeholder clients.
Why independent hotels choose us
A hotel brand system, not another crest with a crown.
Graphic Designers Group works with U.S. independent hotels and inns that need the road sign, front desk, key cards, and rooms to feel like one property. We design the complete brand and hand over production-ready files. We do not produce key cards, supply amenities, or run ads — so the work stays focused on the identity guests actually see.
Industry expertise
Guests judge a hotel from the listing and the road sign, then again in the room they photograph. Most independent hotel brands break there because the printed pieces came from supplier catalogs. We design the sign and the room collateral first.
Fast turnaround
Most Basic and Standard packages move on a short timeline after the brief is complete — so the new look is ready before renovated rooms reopen, before peak season, or before temporary signs from a deflag come down.
Vendor-ready files
Your key card supplier gets card artwork. Your amenity supplier gets labels and wrappers to its sizes. Your sign shop gets road and exterior artwork. Your printer gets room directory files. Production stays with them.
Reads on a road sign at night and a key card
The hardest uses are a road sign read at night from a highway, a small amenity label, and a listing profile image. We test the mark at each.
Clear packages
Basic $299, Standard $499, Enterprise $799. Standard adds key cards and room collateral or the exterior and road sign; Enterprise adds amenity labels, the welcome box, robes, and uniforms. Multi-property groups are quoted after discovery.
Built to stay consistent
Guidelines cover room collateral, signage, and amenities, so the next renovation phase, the next reorder, or the next property does not invent a new hotel by accident.

FAQ
Questions hotel owners ask before they buy
What is included in hotel branding services?
Hotel branding at Graphic Designers Group includes complete brand design: naming direction, logo, visual identity, packaging such as amenity labels, soap wrappers, and welcome boxes, merchandise such as robes and uniforms, and guidelines. Standard and Enterprise add key cards, in-room collateral, and the exterior and road sign as scoped. You receive production-ready files; we do not produce or install.
How much does hotel branding cost?
Hotel branding starts at $299 for Basic, $499 for Standard, and $799 for Enterprise. Basic covers naming direction, logo, starter palette, and essential guidelines. Standard adds full identity plus key cards and room collateral or the exterior and road sign. Enterprise adds amenity labels, the welcome box, robes, and staff uniforms as scoped. Multi-property groups are quoted separately.
Do you make key cards or supply amenities?
No. Graphic Designers Group designs the artwork only. Your key card supplier produces cards, your amenity supplier labels and packs toiletries, your printer makes room directories and hangers, and your sign shop builds road and exterior signs. We deliver production-ready files set up to each supplier’s specs.
Is naming included for a hotel?
Yes, naming direction is included as scoped. It helps when you open a hotel, rename after a renovation, or leave a franchise flag and need a name of your own. We check the name on a road sign, a key card, and a travel listing. You confirm availability before ordering signs.
Can you design our key cards and door hangers?
Yes. We design key cards, key card sleeves, do-not-disturb hangers, and Wi-Fi cards in the hotel’s look. Your key card supplier prints cards compatible with your lock system, and your printer produces the rest. Guests carry the key card all day, so it keeps your name in their pocket.
We are leaving a franchise flag. Can you help?
Yes. We design your new independent brand, sign artwork, and in-room pieces so you can replace flagged items quickly. Your franchise exit agreement sets which signs, amenities, and materials must be removed and by when. You and your attorney confirm those steps; we make sure the replacement is ready.
Who owns the files?
You receive the design files in your package for your hotel’s use, as stated in the project agreement. That includes the logo, sign, key card, and room collateral artwork as scoped, and the guidelines, so any supplier or sign shop you hire later can work from the same files.
Can you design amenity labels for our toiletries?
Yes. We design labels, wrappers, and small box artwork for shampoo, soap, and lotion that your amenity supplier can apply to its private-label products. Ingredient and regulatory text comes from the supplier. Guests see your hotel name in the bathroom instead of a generic brand.
Ready to make your hotel recognizable from the road to the room?
Naming, logo, identity, road sign, key cards, room collateral, amenity labels, guidelines. Files ready for your suppliers and sign shop.
